There is nothing nicer than a new garden bed freshly rotary hoed and a trolley full of plants to put in it.
As always there is a small hairy assistant around putting funny shaped foot prints in the newly turned soil.
Some sustance was needed before I began…vbg.
A lop sided home made lamington, the ever present cup of tea and a quick read of the latest book “Bertie, May and Mrs Fish” by Xandra Bingley. A fascinating read of Xandras memories growing up on a Cotswold hill farm during war time. I’m having trouble putting it down and getting on with other things.
I was completely finished by 11.30 am.
Plants in and watered, bed mulched with more chip bark and everything tidied up.
It’s magnificant weather for gardening. Cool nights and lovely warm days that just make you want to get out there and do something. Got to admit it was nice to be planting for a change rather than weeding or pruning.
