A Good Start to the Year

It absolutely has to be a good start to the year when I get one quilt – Bricks and Stepping Stones – completely finished by 10.30 pm on New Years Day.  Nicola is sooooooo happy that she can now put the quilt on her bed come morning.  Ohh and yes she was still awake at 10.30 as we were watching a movie.  A special treat for her as James is at Mum’s and Elise and her friend Belinda are having a sleep over in the bus tonight.

I must admit to not seeing in the New Year last night.  I was safely tucked up in bed by 10.30pm and asleep not long afterwards.  We were supposed to go to a friends house for a BBQ tea and to celebrate the New Years arrival  but the migrane I had been fighting really kicked in and partying just wasn’t going to happen so we made our excuses.  Thank heavens today it’s just the last lingering bit of neck soreness – at least most of the pain has well and truly gone.

I hope you all had a truly wonderful New Years Eve.  I’m so looking forward to this year and all it’s challenges and hopefully heaps of crafting as well.
