Elise’s Block

Ok Finaly post for today because I really must get on and do something instead of spending so much time playing on the computer…lol.

While Elise was ill she developed an interest in her crazy quilting block that she started so many moons ago.

Elise's Block 2

Both Nicola and Elise had endless discussions on how French Knots (actually I taught them colonial knots which seemed easier at the time) could “enhance” (their words not mine) their work. As you can see by Elise’s block – she took to french knots, like a duck does to water.

I have been getting both girls to just do the seams so far – it seemed a good way to practice basic stitches before moving onto bigger things.

I will post Nicola’s block – just as soon as I can find it in the jungle that is her room at them moment.

  1. Very nice Elise ….. Catherine …. your daughter taking a walk in your shoes, can’t wait to see Nicola’s block!

  2. They have both picked up the craftiness gene from their mother! Well done to Elise, can’t wait to see Nichola’s 🙂 Clever things, you 😀

Thank you for leaving a comment. I love to read your thoughts on my posts and I do try to respond, sometimes though life gets in the way.
